Moi Tran nasce in Vietnam del Nord e si trasferisce a Hong Kong, attualmente risiede in Gran Bretagna. Rifugiata durante la guerra del Vietnam, la su storia personale influenzerà i temi che tratta nella sua pratica artistica, spaziando dalla performance, al video, dall’installazione, alla musica, alla scrittura. Moi Tran riceve molti premi internazionali.
E’ del 2019 la sua performance – The Circuit – A Movement Scenario, che esplora l’identità sociale e collettiva delle donne della diaspora dell’Asia orientale, presentata al PQ 2019, poi realizzata al Tai Kwun Hong Kong contemporanea (2020). Tran è scenografa e costumista per teatro, danza, opera e spettacolo dal vivo.

Moi Tran, was born in North Vietnam and moved to Hong Kong, currently living in Great Britain. Refugee during the Vietnam War, her personal history will influence the themes she deals with in her artistic practice, ranging from performance, video, installation, music, writing. Moi Tran receives many international awards.
Her performance, The Circuit – The Circuit – A Movement Scenario, realized in 2019, explores the social and collective identity of women in the East Asian diaspora, presented at FP 2019, then staged at contemporary Tai Kwun Hong Kong (2020). Tran is a set designer and costume designer for theatre, dance, opera and live performance
