Una struttura per la vendita ambulante, trovata su strada, è stata ripulita e verniciata in loco con smalto fluorescente. L’oggetto, messo in luce, è intitolato al proprietario, alla maniera in cui si nominano oggetti o mezzi dal forte valore affettivo e simbolico. Attraverso un processo di cura che è parte di un inventario in costruzione, l’artista tenta di ridefinire la natura del display marginale nella sua città natale, Palermo.
Irene Coppola è un’artista visiva con base a Milano e Palermo. La sua pratica indaga il rapporto tra memoria e territorio ponendo lo sguardo sull’impercettibile del quotidiano.

A street vending facility, found on the street, was cleaned and painted on site with fluorescent enamel. The object, highlighted, is named after the owner, as objects or means are usually named with a strong emotional and symbolic value. Through a cure process that is part of an ongoing inventory, the artist attempts to redefine the nature of the marginal display in his hometown, Palermo.
Irene Coppola, is a visual artist based in Milan and Palermo. Her practice investigates the relationship between memory and territory by placing an eye on the imperceptible of everyday life.
